Industrial sulfuric acid production: S→SO2→SO3 over V2O5 catalyst at 450°C (2SO2+O2⇌2SO3, exothermic), then SO3+H2SO4→oleum→H2SO4. Largest-volume industrial chemical (~180 Mt/y).
